Technical Operative required to join a well-established precision engineering company that is based in the St Neots area. They specialise in Chemical etching and laser cutting, and due to continuous succession they are looking for a Technical Operative to be responsible for the Operation of production machines.
Technical Operative Position Overview
- Organise workflow in a Safe environment to meet required Quality and Delivery.
- Motivate and direct the team, creating autonomy and building confidence.
- Maintain good internal supplier & customer relationships by communicating to up & downstream processes in a clear and timely manner.
- Comply to internal requirements including but not limited to Processes, Procedures & Policies as set out by the company.
- Understand production Performance metrics (KPI's).
- Ensure any preventative maintenance program is fulfilled on time for all equipment.
- Positively engage in continuous improvement activities.
- Offer constructive feedback, with a can do attitude.
Technical Operative Position Requirements
- A H&S and quality first attitude.
- Experience in CNC or Milling would be preferred.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal suppliers and customers.
- Be able to read technical drawings.
- GCSE Math's, Science level 6 and above preferable.
- Be able to use and measuring equipment, micrometers, duo's.
- Must be able to work under pressure in a proactive way to meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive 'can do' attitude.
- Ability to work independently and to work within teams to achieve the agreed targets.
Technical Operative Position Remuneration
- Full time permanent position
- Monday to Thursday - Start time may be from 6am to 7am with 3pm to 4pm finish dependent on start time - Friday finish early - 39 hour week
- Salary £27,000 - £30,000 (DOE)
