Job Role

An opportunity has arisen with our client based near St Neots who are looking for a metal polisher to join their skilled and knowledgeable team working on a dayshift. This is essentially a hands-on role, working within a small team and is an excellent opportunity to work and learn with a well-respected market leading engineering company.

 Job Responsibilities

  • Manual polishing of components.
  • Ensuring quality has been reached within all areas of production
  • Fettling, Grinding, Deburring
  • Polishing out weld seams
  • Liaise with quality / production to raise any material issues
  • Clean and maintain work area and equipment

  Person Specification

  • Experience of working in a similar manufacturing environment
  • Confident in working with pliable material
  • Knowledge of Sanders, Air Saws, Electrical Hand Grinders and hand tools
  • Attention to detail
  • Good team player; able to communicate well with others
  • Understanding of different metal types.

  Hours of Work and Pay

  • 39 Hours per week
  • Up to £13/hour DOE
  • Overtime at time and a half
  • Own transport required
