Our client is looking to recruit an organised, trustworthy individual to work in their stores yard.  The role will involve management of construction materials, controlling stock levels, liaising with Buyers and Site Managers to ensure material levels are appropriate and distributed to live projects.  There will also be some requirement to drive large vans to deliver materials to building projects including in London and Yorkshire.

The company is an established building contractor specialising in refurbishment projects within the hotel / leisure sector.  The store yard is essential to their business, being the central hub for incoming deliveries and as a distribution centre for the projects that they are working on.

The role will suit somebody with knowledge of building materials, a clean driving license, the ability to drive a large van (Luton Transit size), organisational and communication skills.  It will involve managing spreadsheets to monitor and maintain stock information, sharing this information with relevant staff members to ensure materials are available when required.  Someone with experience on a counter-balance forklift would be preferable but training can be provided if required.
