Think Accountancy & Finance are pleased to be supporting a client focus business who pride themselves on integrity and inclusivity.

They are looking for a junior management accountant to provide support to the friendly and supportive finance team.

This position will be varied resulting in gaining knowledge across multiple areas of accounts, you will be working closely with the Management Accountant.

The company are also willing to offer study support.

Due the nature of the business, you will need to be able to keep up with sporadic tasks, stay organised, be a quick problem solver and confident in your accounting abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare management accounts for various businesses within the group, including month-end and year-end adjustments, and provide insightful commentary on performance.
  • Reconcile control accounts and manage inter-company accounts to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Assist with the preparation of the year-end audit file and provide necessary information for auditors.
  • Contribute to forecasting and budgeting processes, identifying areas to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Complete VAT returns on a timely basis, ensuring compliance with regulations.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Highly proactive and capable of working autonomously.
  • AAT qualified, 2 to 3 years experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think logically.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Strong numeracy skills and proficient in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).
  • Experience using Sage Accounts or similar accounting software.
  • Ability to manage your workload efficiently and work in a fast-paced environment.
