Company Overview:

A luxury company dealing with both private & commercial clients. They are looking require an individual as an Accounts Assistant to join their team to provide support to the Financial Controller.

Job Description:

You will be covering all aspects of the day-to-day accounts reporting directly to the Financial Controller.

Key Responsibilities:

Purchase ledger (in conjunction with part time support already in place)

  • Inputting invoices into accounts software / CRM system
  • Dealing with supplier queries
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Weekly payment run by bacs

Sales ledger

  • Sales invoicing, retail and contract
  • Credit control
  • Preparing ad-hoc sales invoices
  • Managing IRP (Dealer) invoice processing and credit control

Accounts assistance

  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Preparing CIS deduction statements & records for review & submission
  • Weekly cash and sales reporting
  • Assisting with month end processing & reporting
  • Processing employee's business expense claims
  • VAT return preparation
  • Other ad hoc duties

Skills and Experience:

The ideal candidate would be a self motivated individual who has the ability to work independently using their own initiative. You should have excellent attention to detail & excel spreadsheet experience is essential. Experience of SAP would be preferable, but not essential for the right candidate and also a team player who is confident communicating with staff, suppliers & clients both by phone, e-mail & in person

Salary and Hours:

The role of accounts assistant based in St. Albans is offering a salary up to £33,500 and the working hours: 9:00AM - 5:30PM with hybrid working included one probation has been complete.
