You would be part of the Insulation & Building Physics team based at their office facility in Hertfordshire. Our client is looking for someone who already has some industrial experience within the industry and has ideally had exposure to thermal transmittance calculations, thermal modelling and condensation risk analysis or similar.Responsibilities• Plan, coordinate and carry out assessments of construction-based products and systems.• Managing multiple projects where you will scope and plan the assessment• Estimate the assessment of various types of products and systems related to insulation.• Research and investigate aspects of product and system performance.• Regularly communicate with clients ensuring you maintain good quality and standards at all times.• Draft certificates, reports and letters.• Assess the fitness for the purpose of products within contract periods and price estimates.• Coordinate testing and inspection of production.• Carry out certificate maintenance tasks (surveillance reports).• Seek information and clarification from others when required (technical experts, potential clients).• Carry out thermal transmittance, calculations, condensation risk analysis, thermal modelling, and cold bridging assessments.• Liaise with client project coordinators to ensure smooth communication with clients.• Keep clients up to date on the progress of the project.• Attend client meetings as and when required.• Raise, explain and resolve with clients and any others involved in the testing/projects. The Person• Educated to degree level would be preferred- subjects could include Physics, Mechanical Engineering or Mathematics.• Experience of thermal calculations or similar • Experience working in the thermal, insulation/construction company.• Comfortable working in a structured environment with the ability to adapt when necessary.• Ability to work independently and part of a team. • Happy to suggest improvements to enable work to be more efficient.• Excellent written and verbal.
