Job Title: Accounts Assistant Salary: £12.82 to £13.33 per hour Location: St Albans Contract: Temporary (with the view to go permanent)   Hours: 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm with an hour lunch break   Company: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Reconciliation Clerk to join our clients dynamic Finance team. In this role, you will provide full reconciliation support to ensure financial accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements, including FCA's Conduct Rules and Principles. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with strong reconciliation and financial experience to contribute to a high-performing team.   Skills & Experience: ·Proven experience in a similar role, processing bank reconciliations ·Strong GCSE qualifications (A-C in English and Maths). ·Intermediate Excel knowledge. ·High attention to detail

Key Responsibilities: ·Perform daily bank reconciliations for various accounts, ensuring no overdrafts occur. ·Investigate and resolve reconciling differences efficiently and accurately. ·Manage cheque payments, including writing, monitoring uncleared items, and reissuing payments. ·Input daily transfers and payments. ·Provide support for the cashier function, including banking preparation and deliveries. ·Liaise with departments to resolve payment discrepancies. ·Produce regular management information and reports for internal and external stakeholders. ·Ensure compliance with client money regulations, data protection, and money laundering standards. ·Actively participate in team meetings and training to enhance skills and provide cover as required.
