Mid Herts Golf Club, nestled in a village location on the outskirts of Wheathampstead, are looking to add to a Chef De Partie their small but exciting catering team.

Established in 1892, Mid Herts Golf Club has always offered an excellent dining experience, whether for casual daily snacks or for gourmet functions with a dining area that can seat between 80-100 covers).

We are now seeking a Chef De Partie to assist our Head Chef in serving our membership and visitors to the high standards they have come to enjoy over many years.

This is an excellent opportunity to join our prestigious and progressive golf club.

You will help us to deliver imaginative and exciting menus and we will help you develop your catering career.

Reporting to the Head Chef the role will encompass:

  • Supporting the Head Chef in ensuring the efficient, and effective running of the kitchen operation
  • Ensuring that the preparation and presentation of the food is at a high standard, and complies with food safety regulations
  • Supporting the team in the execution and delivery of day service and events with the opportunity to be creative while liaising with the Head Chef to develop new dishes and menus
  • Being capable of working independently and juggling an ever-changing workload
  • Managing a section of a vibrant and busy kitchen, supporting the events team in the execution and delivery of key annual events; and the opportunity to be creative while liaising with the Head Chef to develop new dishes and menus
  • Monitoring portion control and waste control to maintain profit margins
  • Adherence to the highest levels of food hygiene and preparation
  • Accountable for COSHH, Food Safety, H&S, legal regulations, environmental policies and duty of care to customers and colleagues within your area of responsibility
Work Pattern: Monday to Sunday including evenings for functions
