Randstad is working with a leading contractor in the water sector as they grow their engineering team as part of a major AMP8 framework. They are looking for a Principal EICA Engineer to join their growing team, working on a diverse programme of water and wastewater projects worth hundreds of millions.

The Role:
  • Deliver expert-level EICA designs that are cost-effective, buildable, and meet specification requirements.

  • Ensure designs align with industry standards and best practices.

  • Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure smooth project execution.

  • Support the development and improvement of processes and procedures.

  • Provide estimates and technical support for proposals.

  • Lead and mentor junior engineers within the team.

  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

What We're Looking For:
  • Strong expertise in EICA design, including Single Line Diagrams, Cable Block Diagrams, MCC designs, and Control & Instrumentation specifications.

  • Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.

  • Chartered status or membership of a relevant professional institution.

  • A degree or master's in a relevant engineering discipline.

  • A solid understanding of the key EICA systems used in water and wastewater treatment.

  • A broad knowledge of water treatment processes, including mechanical, electrical, and process engineering.

  • Strong presentation and communication skills.

  • Full UK driving licence.
