Health and Safety Advisor - Norwich - major construction project working for a global recognise construction company - excellent opportunities for training and development. £35k-£45k+benefits package dependent on qualifications and experience.
- Ensure compliance with the company's Health & Safety policies and statutory requirements in project operations.
- Provide management with guidance on preventing accidents and ill-health and support the practical implementation of health and safety policies.
- Assist the Project Managers in preparing and developing the Project Construction Phase Health & Safety Plan & coordinate reviews as required.
- Conduct site health and safety inspections and participate in audits. Maintain the health and safety competency matrix and provide advice on assessing and appointing sub-contractors.
- Advise on preparing risk assessments and Method Statements. Monitor project health and safety performance, provide necessary reports, and assist in investigating accidents, incidents, near misses, and other occurrences.
Qualifications/experience:-
- Health, Safety related experience within construction or infrastructure
- NEBOSH Construction/NEBOSH General Certification or equivalent NVQ
- Experience of working as part of a Health and Safety team
