First Achieve Engineering are on the lookout for a skilled and detail-oriented Steel CAD Designer to join our client in their Colney Heath head office. If you're passionate about transforming concepts into precise technical drawings and love the idea of working on bespoke steel and architectural projects - this could be your next move.

??? What You'll Do:

  • Create detailed CAD models and drawings for steel structures using Autodesk Advance Steel and other 3D software
  • Translate engineering and architectural concepts into technical drawings
  • Collaborate closely with structural engineers and designers
  • Finalise bespoke layout and construction drawings
  • Ensure all outputs meet industry, safety, and quality standards
  • Contribute to project planning, material procurement, and pricing
  • Work on exciting, one-of-a-kind projects - from intricate metalwork to large structural extensions

�? Who We're Looking For:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk Advance Steel, or similar 3D CAD software
  • Experience in steel structure design (preferred, but training provided for juniors and graduates)
  • A background in Design Engineering
  • Strong understanding of steel fabrication and construction principles
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Clear communicator and strong team player
  • Self-motivated with a proactive, customer-focused mindset
  • IT-literate and eager to grow within the role
