Based in the heart of St Albans town centre, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about Business and St Albans.

You will work closely with the Marketing and Communications manager delivering strategy to deliver and lead engaging events maintaining strong relationships with stakeholder and businesses across St Albans.

The successful applicant will work 30 hours per week which will include occasional weekend and evenings.

This role will suit a candidate with a strong events and project management background with excellent communication and relationship building skills. You will have led your own events and managed budgets previously.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the development, management and delivery of the Events and Campaigns
  • Improving Business Liaison and Engagement, increasing the success and attendance of the Business Forums and Networking Events
  • Supporting the delivery of communication and marketing activities
  • Work with other team members to support project development and communications across the project streams
  • Work with key stakeholders and partners to ensure a synergy of events, communications & branding
  • Production of an annual Events and Campaigns plan with KPIs
  • Assisting with digital platforms on a day-to-day basis, including websites and social media
  • Explore new events, initiatives and ways of working with stakeholders and partners which demonstrate innovation
  • Working within set budget parameters

What the client are looking for:

  • At least three years’ experience of planning, managing and delivering large-scale and/or creative events
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent. (Or able to evidence extensive experience of delivery.)
  • Experience of working in marketing and communications
  • Experience of working with a wide range of organisations and stakeholders
  • Experience of managing and implementing a range of projects
  • Experience of managing budgets
  • Excellent people and relationship skills.
  • Ability to work independently with initiative.
  • IT skills – includes use of Microsoft office, e.g. Excel, Teams, etc.
