Smart10 Recruitment are currently looking for a Production Operative to join our client in St Albans at their state of the are Warehouse
- Job Title: Production Operative
- Salary: £24,500 - £26,000
- Location: St Albans
- Permanent Fulltime Position
- Working Hours: 08:00 - 16:30 Monday - Friday
Responsubilities and Duties -
- Operate machinery anf production lines to manufacture products
- Monitor production processes to ensure optimal efficency and quality
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on equipment
- Inspect and test materials, components, and finish products to ensure they meet quality standards
- Assit in loading and unloading raw materials and finished goods
- Pack products, ensuring rhey are properly labelled and ready for shipment
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and saftey regulations
- Report any issues, malfunctions, or safety hazards to supervisors
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets
- Follow standard opersting procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
- Adhere to quality control procedures and maintain high levels of product quality
- Document production data, including quantites produced, downtime and material usage
- Follow all health and safety guidelines, using protective equipment as required
Skills Required -
- Previous experience in a production or manufacturing enviorment is desirable
- Basic understasnding of machinery and production process
- Ability to work in a fast-paced enviorment and still maintain good attention to detail
- Strong communication and team work
- Good understanding of health and safety practices
- Flexibilty to work shifts, including weekends if required
- Ability to lift and carry materials as needed
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills for record keeping and reporting
Desirable -
- Forklift certification or similar industrial machinery experience
