Our client is a leading provider of specialist mortgages and property finance, supporting homeowners, landlords, and property investors in achieving their financial goals. With a strong presence in the UK market, they continue to grow and expand their services. To support their plans for growth, we are looking to recruit a Mortgage Underwriter to join their residential mortgages underwriting team. Experience required:
  • An understanding of FCA regulation.
  • Experience in Underwriting 1st and/or 2nd Charge mortgage applications is essential 
  • CeMAP (desirable, not essential).
As an Underwriter you will be responsible for:
  • Enter and update borrower data on the lending platform.
  • Ensure all aspects of the loans are recorded accurately and meet underwriting guidelines.
  • Carry out an assessment of the mortgage application to ensure all aspects of our underwriting criteria are met.
  • Provide concise and accurate updates to brokers.
  • Proactively chase brokers for outstanding requirements.
  • Maintaining a pipeline of cases, overseeing cases from inception through to completion.
