A top 20 Firm with an office in St. Albans is looking for a talented Audit Manager to join their close knit and friendly team. This role is a split between Audit (70%) and Accounts (30%). Paying a salary of £66,000 - £73,000.

You will be assigned a Director/Partner mentor to work on your own personal development with progression opportunities at every level. This is a Firm that will give you all of the support you require to reach your own goals, including a route to Senior Manager and then subsequently Director and RI.

Responsibilities:As an Audit Manager, you will….

  • Be responsible for a portfolio of clients with £500k+ gross recurring fees, covering a variety of business activities, sizes, and structures.
  • Day to day leadership of audits including being the key contact for the client, engagement partner and supporting team members
  • Leadership of all aspects of audit assignment including job planning and budgeting, time and project management, delegating to and supervising of the team.
  • Planning jobs to ensure audits are carried out in the most efficient way possible while considering firm-wide productivity.

Requirements:As an Audit Manager, you will need….

  • Qualified to ACA/ACCA or equivalent
  • Experience managing both people and a portfolio
  • Experience leading audit teams including group audits
  • Current portfolio must have a minimum of 70% audit work
  • High level of familiarity with UK auditing and accounting standards
  • Commercial awareness and able to apply and communicate technical knowledge in a clear and commercial way
  • Experience in both substantive and controls based audits, group reporting and cross border groups
  • Expertise in delivery of the primary accounting frameworks (UK GAAP, FRS 101, FRS 102 and IFRS)
