About the RoleOur client, a top 20 accountancy practice based in St Albans, is looking for an experienced and motivated Audit Supervisor to join their team. You'll work directly with partners and directors, leading a tight-knit group of professionals to deliver high-quality audit and advisory services. This role is ideal for someone ready to take the next step in their career, combining technical expertise with leadership responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities- Audit Leadership: Plan, supervise, and execute end-to-end audits across various industries, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
- Team Development: Set objectives for junior staff, review their work, and provide on-the-job coaching to support their growth.
- Client Interaction: Build strong relationships with clients, liaising at senior levels and identifying opportunities for added value.
- Technical Expertise: Prepare statutory accounts, consolidated accounts, and corporation tax computations with support from specialists.
- Innovation & Efficiency: Suggest improvements to current processes and ensure seamless audit delivery.
- Practice Development: Attend client events, identify business opportunities, and contribute to proposal pitches.
- Qualifications: ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent.
- Experience:
- Proven ability to lead audit teams, including group audits.
- Recent experience with audits of £20m+ turnover companies.
- Strong grasp of UK GAAP, auditing standards, and both substantive and controls-based audits.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
- Personable, confident, and adept at building client trust.
- Motivation: A drive to grow professionally and support the development of others.
