Director of Probate St Albans Up to £105,000Are you an accomplished professional with a passion for delivering exceptional probate services? A law  firm is seeking a dedicated individual to join their team, focusing on non-contentious probate services. This role offers a unique chance to work with a renowned trust corporation, collaborating closely with private client partners and contributing to the firm's growth.The role will also involve working with private client partners, where they are a named executor. Alternatively, where the trust corporation has been appointed as an executor.To support the Head of Legal services under the firm’s ICAEW probate accreditation with regulatory matters and to monitor key deadlines, pricing transparency and manage risk. **Key Responsibilities:**- Liaise with prospective clients, explaining the probate process and agreeing on pricing.- Onboard new clients, ensuring compliance with KYC requirements.- Value estates, including liaising with internal partners for business clients.- Prepare and submit IHT400 forms and supporting schedules to HMRC.- Draft and submit affidavits and probate applications.- Administer and distribute estates, including authorising funds and preparing estate accounts.- Train and mentor team members, contributing to their professional growth.- Participate in business development initiatives, identifying growth opportunities.**Required Skills and Experience:**- Minimum 5 years of experience in probate and/or private client services.- Proficiency in non-contentious probate processes.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.- Proficiency in tax software and relevant technology tools.**Qualifications:**- Chartered Tax Adviser with STEP accreditation.This role is perfect for a seasoned probate specialist looking to make a significant impact within a respected firm.
