Here at Every Step Recruitment, Finance & Accountancy, we are excited to be supporting our St. Albans based Client with their requirement for a sole Finance Manager. This is a full-time, permanent, office-based role set within a modern working environment, amongst a small and friendly team.Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Financial management; maintenance of sales and purchase ledgers and cash book
- Monthly Bank and Credit Card Reconciliations
- Raising accurate and timely invoices
- Sending out statements
- Chasing outstanding monies
- Requesting and chasing Purchase Orders
- Inputting of invoices
- Processing payment runs
- Entering journals to include accruals, prepayments and deferred income
- Assisting with Month End Accounts, P&L and Balance sheet reporting
- Overseeing the day-to-day operational needs of the office
Skills and attributes required:
- Previous experience within a sole Finance Manager/Bookkeeper capacity
- An experienced user of Xero
- Strong MS Excel skills (ideally to include V-Lookups, Pivot Tables and Macros)
- Excellent communication skills; confident liaising with suppliers
- A positive disposition
- A drive to manage the finances of the business and the smooth operation of the office
