Our client, a top 40 UK accountancy firm with 24 partners and 240 staff across four locations, is seeking a Tax professional, with flexibility from Manager to Associate Director level to work with a client base that includes high-net-worth individuals, sole traders, partnerships, and UK/non-UK trust beneficiaries.Responsibilities:

  • Manage income tax, National Insurance, and capital gains tax matters, including PAYE coding.
  • Review Self-Assessment tax returns for approval and filing.
  • Advise clients on inheritance tax, income tax, and capital gains tax, communicating through various channels.
  • Support partners with advisory projects, including IHT planning, residence issues, and structuring.
  • Attend client meetings, set budgets, and monitor project timelines.
  • Liaise with HMRC on s9A enquiries and disclosures under the digital disclosure facility.
  • Coordinate information collection for tax returns with clients and third-party professionals.
  • Organise and prioritise work to meet HMRC deadlines and ensure high client service standards.
  • Manage quarterly billing and track own time budgets.
  • Attend internal management meetings and participate in networking events.

Requirements:

  • CTA qualification with a minimum of 5 years in private client tax.
  • Strong client-facing, organisational, and independent work skills.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, CCH, and SharePoint.
  • People management abilities and commercial awareness.
