Are you an experienced Financial Adviser looking for a new opportunity? My client, a well-established independent firm of Chartered Financial Advisers based in St Albans, is seeking a skilled professional to join their team. This firm has a stellar reputation for providing clear, high-quality advice on Pensions, Investments, Retirement Planning, Tax Planning, IHT, Trusts, Mortgages, and Protections to clients across Hertfordshire. Over the past six years, we've seen them grow organically, placing numerous individuals who have thrived under their supportive management.

The successful candidate will work closely with one of the firm's Senior Financial Advisers, who will be retiring within the next year. Your primary responsibility will be to build strong relationships with their clients, gaining a thorough understanding of their individual needs to ensure a seamless handover upon the current Adviser’s retirement. You will attend both face-to-face and online client meetings together initially, and gradually take full responsibility for new enquiries from these existing clients. Additionally, during annual reviews, you will investigate any further needs the client may have, including intergenerational issues as appropriate.

The successful applicant will enjoy a high degree of autonomy, with the added benefit of comprehensive support and guidance to ensure technical competency. Full on-the-job training will be provided to address any gaps in skills or knowledge, along with full Paraplanning support.

Our client fosters a friendly and supportive working environment, where everyone feels valued. The Senior Management Team maintains an open-door policy, encouraging staff to share ideas and concerns to improve efficiencies and enhance both client and staff experiences. As a Chartered firm, they support their Financial Advisers in achieving Chartered status, offering full study support for those who wish to pursue this qualification.

If you have around three years of Financial Advice experience and are looking for a career rather than just a job, our client would like to hear from you. This role offers the unique advantage of managing a well-established client base, allowing you to focus on providing quality service without the pressure of constantly sourcing new business or meeting escalating sales targets. Additionally, the role offers a flexible work environment, with a mix of office-based and home-based working.

If this Financial Adviser role interests you, or if you would like to discuss other opportunities I am currently working on, please get in touch. For more details, please contact Joanna Clark.
