NLB Solutions are working with 3 partner accountancy practice based in St Albans that are looking to recruit for a Semi Senior Accountant who is working towards having their own client base as well as a variety of other work to undertake. You will be expected to build relationships with those clients, supporting and understanding their specific needs to help them get the most out of their business. The team work on a hybrid basis and are looking for someone that will qualify either as an ACA or ACCA Accountant. You will be part of a well established team and a great management team to support your development.

With working hours of 9-5 and study support, this a great chance for someone that is looking to qualify as an accountant. They need someone that has exposure of working in a Practice environment for at least 3 years. Parking and local amenities are very accessible too.

Duties:

  • Main point of contact for own portfolio of clients, managing the full client experience.
  • Responsible for statutory and management accounts preparation.
  • Accounts preparation, Corporation Tax, VAT.
  • Personal tax preparation.
  • Mentor and help develop more junior members of the team.

Person Spec:

  • Competent in the use of Xero/Quickbooks, TaxCalc, Iris and Sage 50 Accounts.
  • Competent use of Excel and Word.
  • Able to work to deadlines.
  • Qualifications/study - Ideally already studying for professional qualification such as ACA or ACCA.
