- Statutory Accounts Preparation – Oversee the preparation of statutory accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Month-End and Year-End Close – Lead financial close processes, ensuring timely and precise reporting.
- Strategic Financial Guidance – Provide clients with valuable financial insights to support decision-making.
- Process Optimisation – Work with cross-functional teams to enhance processes and improve efficiency.
- Regulatory Compliance – Stay up to date with regulatory changes and ensure full compliance with tax laws.
- Mentorship – Support and mentor junior team members, fostering their professional development.
- ACCA or ACA Qualified/Near Qualified – Strong professional credentials.
- Experience – Proven track record in an accounting firm.
- Accounting Knowledge – Deep understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Software Proficiency – Competent in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with QuickBooks and/or Xero is a plus.
- Analytical Skills – Strong analytical abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Communication Skills – Excellent interpersonal and client relationship management skills.
- Adaptability – Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities effectively.
- Salary: Up to £65k (depending on experience).
- Holidays: 23 days of annual leave.
- Hybrid/Remote Working: The firm supports remote and hybrid work arrangements. However, you must be available to visit the office in St Albans twice a month. If you are interested in a future leadership role, including team management, additional office hours would be required.
