Our client, a successful independent Estate Agency in St Albans require a knowledgeable and experienced Block Manager to manage a portfolio of residential blocks in St Albans. The successful candidate will ensure the properties are well-maintained, while building strong relationships with residents, contractors, and stakeholders. This role requires excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills, along with a solid understanding of property management and relevant legislation.

Requirements for the role of Block Manager

  • Proven experience in block or property management, particularly in residential settings.
  • Strong understanding of property management legislation, health and safety regulations, and leasehold management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively manage relationships with stakeholders.
  • Competence in managing budgets and preparing financial reports.
  • Skilled in property management software and Microsoft Office.
  • Proactive in resolving issues and complaints.
  • Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Qualifications for Block Manager:
  • IRPM or RICS qualifications (or progress towards them).
  • Familiarity with insurance claims and renewals, as well as property management software (e.g., Blocks Online).
