This role involves designing and developing innovative consumer and industrial products, taking projects from concept through to production.The Senior Product Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

A degree or HND/HNC in Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
Strong experience in product design and development, ideally within consumer or industrial products
Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, or similar)
Knowledge of materials, injection molding, sheet metal, and other manufacturing processes
Experience with designing for manufacturability and assembly (DFM/DFA)
Ability to conduct design analysis, prototyping, and testing
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Experience with sustainability and design for environmental impact (desirable)

The Senior Product Design Engineer role will involve:

Leading the design and development of innovative products
Producing detailed 3D models, technical drawings, and BOMs
Conducting prototype development, testing, and validation
Working closely with manufacturing, marketing, and engineering teams to optimize designs
Identifying and implementing cost-effective and sustainable design improvements
Ensuring designs meet relevant industry standards and compliance requirements
Managing multiple projects and mentoring junior designers where necessary
