A leading main contractor specialising in social housing refurbishment, planned maintenance, and retrofit projects are seeking a Bid Manager to take ownership of their tendering process, ensuring high-quality, competitive submissions that secure key contracts through framework agreements and direct procurement routes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the bid process from PQQ to final submission, ensuring timely and high-quality responses
  • Develop and implement winning strategies to secure contracts via frameworks and other procurement routes
  • Work closely with operational teams, estimators, and subject matter experts to develop compelling proposals
  • Build and maintain relationships with framework providers, housing associations, and local authorities
  • Manage bid governance, ensuring all submissions are fully compliant and commercially viable

What They’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Bid Manager in the social housing or construction sector
  • Strong knowledge of framework agreements and public sector procurement processes
  • Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously, meeting deadlines without compromising quality
  • Understanding of Decent Homes, planned maintenance, and retrofit standards
