My client is a market leading distribution company based in Herts.

This is a great opportunity to take over a pool of established accounts and develop it further, making it your own.

This office-based role will report directly into the Managing Director.

THE ROLE

This excellent role is looking to pay the right candidate a starting salary of £29,000.00 plus benefits.

We are looking for a motivated professional with some B2B or B2C experience to manage and grow existing client relationships and develop new opportunities within those accounts whilst developing new partnerships within the sector and new marketplaces.


In this role, you will be responsible for planning and account management and will be required to take full ownership within your customer base. This is not a high volume cold calling role and we are looking for someone who has a blend of account maintenance experience and proven ability to build new opportunities.


Communication skills will need to be first class in this role.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To manage and develop business in specified trade accounts via telephone, email and Skype
  • To record customer conversations and quotations and close/follow-up potential orders.
  • Ensure at all times that prices are quoted are the optimum possible within market expectations.
  • Ensure follow-up actions (returning calls, account application forms, RMAs, PODs etc.) are completed within the promised time scales
  • To keep technically aware and remain informed with industry developments
  • Research market and competitor products
  • Maintain requested sales and margin figures expected of the position
