Special Educational Needs Assistant - St Albans, Hertfordshire

Dunbar Education is recruiting SEN assistants for a school based in St Albans, Hertfordshire, offering both full-time and part-time positions to accommodate your availability.

Your Roles and Responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • Provide tailored support to pupils with diverse SEN needs (ADHD, language and communication challenges, and behavioural needs)
  • Work closely with teachers to implement individualised lesson plans
  • Regularly assess and record pupil development
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages pupil engagement and confidence

What We’re looking for:

  • Previous experience in supporting children with SEN in educational or care settings.
  • An understanding of various SEN conditions and support techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities and communication skills
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (ideal)
