Are you a dedicated and seasoned Plant Buyer and Manager eager for an exciting opportunity? If this sounds like you, keep reading!

What will I be doing?

As the Plant Buyer you will play a crucial role in driving the success of the businesses plant offerings.

You'll be responsible for sourcing garden plants, shrubs, and trees, ensuring high-quality products at competitive prices are offered. You'll collaborate closely with the Company Directors to set stock levels, budgets, and negotiate supplier terms to maximise profitability.

You'll take a hands-on approach in the Shrub Department, helping customers, handling inquiries, and ensuring excellent customer service. You'll also manage and train staff, maintain staff discipline, and contribute to a positive work environment. Security, health and safety, and ensuring displays are attractive and up to date are also key responsibilities.

What do I need?

You'll need to have a background in Plant Buying and management within teams in the horticultural industry.

Strong negotiation skills and the ability to work with suppliers to achieve the best terms.

As well as this, excellent customer service and communication skills and an eye for detail to ensure stock accuracy, product quality, and engaging sales displays.

A deep understanding of current trends and consumer behaviour in the gardening industry is also needed.
