Are you an experienced teacher who would be keen to take on a different role working closely with students and schools but no longer teaching, planning, marking or managing behaviour?

Would you be keen to work with children at risk from exclusion from mainstream schooling and help them back to enjoying their education?

Tradewind are working in partnership with a fantastic Multi Academy Trust who are looking to appoint several Outreach Workers starting in January.

The Outreach Worker roles are…

  • Suitable for all qualified and experienced teachers
  • Available for both Primary and Secondary roles are available
  • 1 year temporary to permanent contracts from January 2025
  • On a term time contract with a H5 Hertfordshire salary
  • Rewarding roles where you will be able to support students and schools.
  • Based in St Albans, Hatfield and surrounding areas.

Be part of the team…

At our highly successful Alternative Provision School in St Albans we aim to reintegrate pupils into mainstream education.

You will work with students, their families and schools to help children through difficult times and provide support while promoting emotional wellbeing and self-confidence. You will explore, identify and improve the lives of children with self-esteem, self-worth, anxiety and withdrawal issues. You will provide a short-term intervention service helping parents/carers to facilitate consistency between home and school. Success is measured through assessment and progress data provided by schools and regular reviews with staff, families or agencies.

This is a highly rewarding role that suits teachers who enjoy working in education and watching young people achieve but are looking to move away from classroom teaching.

Requirements for this post:

  • Recent teaching experience in any key stage
  • A passion for supporting disaffected students and helping them to find enjoyment in education.
