In this role, you'll work closely with students with SEN needs in Key Stage 3, and Key Stage 4 providing valuable support to help them reach their full potential.

*** Monday to Friday (8:30am - 3:30pm)

Tradewind are currently working with a supportive and inclusive Secondary School in St Albans who are looking for a Teaching Assistant with great understanding for the needs of children and has a therapeutic approach for behaviour. The pupils at this school have a real motivation for learning and have access to a nature area, wood, and allotment on their grounds. Senior Leadership are incredibly supportive of their staff and actively promote progression and professional development. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in shaping the educational journey of these young minds.
Job Responsibilities:
- Help students one-on-one, offering guidance and support.
- Collaborate with teachers to create fun and effective learning activities.
- Promote a welcoming and positive classroom atmosphere.
- Assist with managing the classroom and student behaviour.
- Prepare teaching materials and resources to enhance learning.
- Follow the school's rules and values.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Level 2 Childcare Qualification
- Prior experience with children having extra needs is a plus.
- A true love for education and a dedication to motivating young individuals.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Patience and flexibility to excel in a lively classroom setting.
- The capacity to work well within a cooperative team.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection protocols.
