In this role, you'll work closely with students with SEN needs in Key Stage 3, and Key Stage 4 providing valuable support to help them reach their full potential.

*** Level 2 Teaching Assistant - Secondary School in St Albans, Hertfordshire

*** ASAP / October Start

*** Monday to Friday (8:30am - 3:30pm)

*** Long Term temporary role - opportunity to go permanent

***£85 - £105 per day

*** Includes one to one and small group work

Tradewind are currently working with a supportive and inclusive Secondary School in St Albans who are looking for a Teaching Assistant with great understanding for the needs of children and has a therapeutic approach for behaviour. The pupils at this school have a real motivation for learning and have access to a nature area, wood, and allotment on their grounds. Senior Leadership are incredibly supportive of their staff and actively promote progression and professional development. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in shaping the educational journey of these young minds.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Help students one-on-one, offering guidance and support.
  • Collaborate with teachers to create fun and effective learning activities.
  • Promote a welcoming and positive classroom atmosphere.
  • Assist with managing the classroom and student behaviour.
  • Prepare teaching materials and resources to enhance learning.
  • Follow the school's rules and values.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Level 2 Childcare Qualification
  • Prior experience with children having extra needs is a plus.
  • A true love for education and a dedication to motivating young individuals.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Patience and flexibility to excel in a lively classroom setting.
  • The capacity to work well within a cooperative team.
