They are looking for a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their welcoming team, working across KS1 and KS2. Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored support to students with SEN, including those with autism, speech and language difficulties, and emotional/behavioral challenges.
  • Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
  • Implement personalised learning strategies and interventions.
  • Work with students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to support their academic and social development.
  • Monitor and record student progress, ensuring their needs are being met effectively.
  • Collaborate with the SENCO, teachers, and parents to develop individual education plans (IEPs).
Requirements:
  • An enhanced DBS check.
  • A good understanding of various SEN needs and effective strategies to support them.
  • Previous experience working with SEN pupils in a primary school setting.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or similar) are desirable but not essential.
