Adecco are recruiting on behalf of North Wales Police for an Administrator to join their team, to provide temporary administrative support to Crime Services Senior Management Team, ensuring all administration needs are met.

  • Temporary, initially until March 2026
  • £13.53 per hour
  • Working office hours (flexi) Monday - Friday
  • Full time, 37 hours per week
  • Hybrid after training
  • Office based in St Asaph

Key points:

  • To provide administrative support to the Crime Services SMT dealing with all incoming/outgoing correspondence, telephone calls and associated filing.
  • Manage the Crime Services SMT diaries to include making all necessary appointments, meetings arrangements and travel and accommodation bookings as required.
  • Monitoring of Further Review system.
  • Liaising with relevant partners to arrange meetings on behalf of Crime Services SMT.
  • Taking minutes and preparing agendas for meetings relating to Crime Services SMT members as required.
  • Organising performance reviews.
  • Provide administration support to Chief Inspectors, Superintendents and Staff equivalent colleagues as required.
  • Co-ordinating health & safety issues.
  • Make necessary arrangements for meetings including booking venues, ensuring the relevant people are requested to attend.
  • Effectively manage and monitor responses to requests for information under Freedom of Information within the prescribed timelines on behalf of Crime Services.
  • Maintain general stationery supplies and stores requisitions.
  • Distribution of external post.
  • Maintain database for security fob systems.

The role requires applicants who can demonstrate (with evidence) skills in the following areas:

  • NVQ 3 in Administration or equivalent qualification or equivalent amount of proven relevant experience.
  • The use of Information Technology to an intermediate level that includes inputting/typing skills to at least 35 wpm.
  • Working knowledge of the Office 365 applications specifically Word, Excel and SharePoint.
  • The ability to liaise with external agencies and internal departments that includes communication via the telephone and in written format.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and use own initiative.
  • The ability to work under pressure remaining calm and constructive.
  • The role is one that necessitates discretion, confidentiality and persons who are self-motivated.
