Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join our dynamic finance team. Joining a business enjoying impressive growth, the ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of the organisation. You will work alongside an impressive Finance Manager and established team, contributing to a friendly, collaborative work environment.

Duties

  • Processing subcontractor payments, including assessment of CIS-Construction Industry Scheme deductions and DRC-VAT reverse charges.
  • Reconciling and preparing monthly CIS returns.
  • Issuing subcontractor CIS statements.
  • Managing subcontractor retentions.
  • Processing and reconciling credit card and petty cash.
  • Providing cover when necessary for all tasks performed by other team members.
  • Assisting with the production of job costing reports.

Qualifications

  • Ideally experience in a previous similar role.
  • Good Excel skills required.
  • Proficient use of accounts software (preferably Sage & Eque2 Construction Manager).
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines.
  • Good clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build good working relationships with both external subcontractors/suppliers/clients and with colleagues throughout the Company.
  • Good organisational skills

Salary: £25K-£30KHolidays:25 days plus Bank holidaysPension:Auto-enrolled into the company pension scheme.Working Arrangements:The post would be office-based.
