Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join our dynamic finance team. You will work alongside an impressive Finance Manager and established team, contributing to a friendly, collaborative work environment.
Duties
- Processing subcontractor payments, including assessment of CIS-Construction Industry Scheme deductions and DRC-VAT reverse charges.
- Reconciling and preparing monthly CIS returns.
- Issuing subcontractor CIS statements.
- Managing subcontractor retentions.
- Processing and reconciling credit card and petty cash.
- Providing cover when necessary for all tasks performed by other team members.
- Assisting with the production of job costing reports.
Qualifications
- Ideally experience in a previous similar role.
- Good Excel skills required.
- Proficient use of accounts software (preferably Sage & Eque2 Construction Manager).
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work to strict deadlines.
- Good clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build good working relationships with both external subcontractors/suppliers/clients and with colleagues throughout the Company.
- Good organisational skills
Salary: £25K-£30KHolidays:25 days plus Bank holidaysPension:Auto-enrolled into the company pension scheme.Working Arrangements:The post would be office-based.
