- Prepare and review financial reports for multiple business units, ensuring accuracy and clear presentation for stakeholders.
- Monitor operational costs and workforce expenses, working closely with internal teams to track and explain variances.
- Conduct bank reconciliations across multiple accounts and currencies.
- Manage VAT calculations and returns, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register, overseeing depreciation calculations.
- Reconcile intercompany balances, ensuring accurate reporting across group entities.
- Assist with the preparation and submission of financial declarations to external partners.
- Provide payroll cover during absences, supporting both weekly and monthly payroll cycles.
- Support senior management with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting.
- Assist with audit preparations, ensuring all necessary documentation is in order.
- Step in to support other areas of the finance function, such as Accounts Payable and Receivable, when required.
- AAT Part/Fully Qualified (or equivalent experience).
- Background in a finance or accounting role with experience in financial reporting.
- Strong understanding of core accounting principles, including accruals, prepayments, and double-entry bookkeeping.
- Familiarity with key financial statements and their business impact.
- Confident using Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, IF statements).
- Experience working with finance software such as Sage, QuickBooks, or similar.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
- A keen eye for detail and accuracy.
