Finance Manager - St Austell - £salary negotiable

Trial Balance Consulting have been exclusively re-engaged by one of our longstanding clients, a high performing commercial organisation with a fantastic reputation for high quality employee investment. The company has enjoyed sustained growth in recent years and now seeks to recruit a Finance Manager to facilitate continued expansion; a brand new role within the business. The position is offered on a permanent, full time basis and is to be full time onsite in St Austell.

The role works closely with a very experienced director and senior management team in a fast paced environment. The new Finance Manager will play a key role in the company’s ongoing success, developing and future proofing the function. The successful candidate will be very well supported by the senior management team and will also supervise and develop the small and competent finance team.

Key responsibilities to include:

- Take leadership of the group accounting function to include the management and mentoring of one colleague

- Monthly management accounting and quarterly reporting

- Budgeting and cash flow forecasting

- Developing accounting systems and platforms

- Management of the accounts payable/receivable function and authorising supplier payment runs

- VAT, tax filing and statutory reporting

- Aged debtor management

- Monthly payroll coordination

- Work closely with directors on group company projects

- Work closely with auditors and chartered accountants

For this role we’re searching for an experienced Finance Manager, or perhaps a company Bookkeeper, with solid end-to-end accounting experience gained within an SME environment. Applicant’s will ideally be part/fully professionally qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), but those with demonstrable vocational experience will be given equal consideration. The successful candidate will be a key point of contact across all departments of the business so excellent communication skills required in addition to the ability to supervise and develop an enthusiastic colleague.
