MFL Teacher

Are you a dedicated and passionate teacher? Do you have previous experience teaching Spanish at GCSE level? We have an exciting opportunity for an MFL teacher to join a school in St Austell for a long term position, starting in January 2025. Purpose of the role:

  • To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, personalised and create curriculum for students.
  • To meet all the expected requirements within the teacher standards
  • To contribute to raising standards of student attainment.
  • To share and support the school’s responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for academic and personal development.
  • To monitor and assess the progress of students as a teacher.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A relevant degree.
  • A passion for teaching languages.
  • Experience of teaching Spanish at secondary school level (Key Stage 3 and 4 essential; Key Stage 5 desirable).
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and inspire students of varying abilities.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to professional development and the ability to contribute to the school’s improvement journey.
