About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Project EngineerMechanical or Electrical to join our clients team based in North Cornwall. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary dependent on skills and experience. Graduates and those with relevant qualifications are encouraged to apply.

As a Project Engineer, you will be at the forefront of the Projects Team, working closely with Project Managers on a range of exciting and innovative schemes. Your role will be critical in ensuring that each project is delivered on time, within scope, and on budget, all while maintaining excellent standards of health and safety. You will liaise with clients, the factory, and the installations department to ensure everything runs smoothly throughout the project lifecycle, utilizing your engineering skills to provide accurate technical information and proactively resolve problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Project Manager in delivering projects on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Review and check technical designs, specifications, and reports to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and explore project scope in detail.
  • Create and maintain project records, including contractual and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure technical information is supplied, received, and understood as required.
  • Coordinate engineering activities to ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • Visit sites across the U.K. and Europe as required.

  • A candidate with an engineering qualification or equivalent engineering experience.
  • An enthusiastic and positive individual who can work on their own initiative.
  • A forward-thinker with the ability to spot and resolve issues before they arise.
  • A person with a drive for continuous improvement and innovation.
  • A strong communicator who can negotiate with diplomacy and collaborate with a variety of teams.
  • Someone calm under pressure and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • An individual with a full UK driving license.
