Your new companyAs a Building Safety Manager, you will be at the forefront of ensuring all aspects of fire safety and general safety are legally compliant and aligned with relevant and required policies. Your role will be pivotal in making sure customers are safe and well-supported within their homes. You will work for a charitable housing association based in the heart of Cornwall. Your new employer own and manage over 5,000 homes in the region, dedicated to providing great homes and services, supporting communities. Your new roleAs a Building Safety Manager, you will be at the forefront of ensuring all aspects of fire safety and general safety and are legally compliant and aligned with policies.

  • Fire safety compliance - ensuring all fire safety measures are legally compliant.
  • Building safety management - liaising with the building safety regulator and fire services.
  • Expert advice - provide clear and expert guidance on safety matters to all stakeholders and customers.
  • Leadership - lead and manage across all aspects of legal compliance, including fire risk assessments, asbestos removals, lift and lifting equipment, radon management.
  • Responsible person - serve as the legally named responsible person for fire, asbestos, legionella, and lift regulations.
  • Contract management - oversee the management and administration of contracts.
  • Team leadership - motivate your team to achieve 100% regulatory compliance and high performance.

What you'll need to succeedIn order to be considered for this role, you must hold a level 4 diploma in fire safety or equivalent, ideally a NEBOSH certificate in fire safety supported by a practical application or further practical qualification such as IFE L3 in fire safety.
