A&P Falmouth- Steelworker / Fabricator Home to one of the world’s largest natural deep-water harbours, A&P Falmouth’s facility is one of the largest ship-repair complexes in the UK. We are looking for Steelworkers / Fabricators with strong craftsmanship and attention to detail to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. Experience as a Steelworker/Fabricator (welder/plater) and/or familiarity with welding techniques (e.g. MMA, MIG, TIG etc.) would be great, but we are also looking for Steelworkers keen to be trained to the standards we work to. So, what will you do? Fabricate and assemble steel components according to engineering drawings and specifications. Use metalworking machines such as hydraulic presses, rolls, shears, cutting torches, grinders and drills to bend, cut, form, punch, drill or otherwise form steel/aluminium components. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards. And what are we looking for? Previous experience as a steelworker/fabricator (welder/plater) or in a similar role, and/or familiarity with welding techniques (e.g. MMA, MIG, TIG etc.) would be great, we can train you to get you to the standards we work to. Youll need the ability to understand technical drawings. Youll be able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Youll be absolutely committed to ensuring health and safety in your work, we all work safe and go home safe. Youll have excellent teamwork and communication skills, vital for success in the projects that we deliver. Why join us?
