What you'll do:

As a Production Planner, your primary responsibility will be to manage the production plan for a portfolio of products. You will ensure that materials and capacity are optimally utilised to achieve on-time delivery targets. Your excellent planning skills will be crucial in supporting cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement activities. You will also provide accurate reporting on matters relating to your product portfolio, liaising with customers and internal teams. Your role will involve maintaining compliance with relevant policies and procedures, managing inventory levels effectively, and responding swiftly to changes in engineering or design requirements.

  • Manage the supply chain for a portfolio of products, ensuring on-time delivery targets are met
  • Support cost reduction and continuous improvement activities as required
  • Provide accurate reporting on matters relating to product portfolio in liaison with customers and internal teams
  • Maintain compliance with policies and procedures applicable to the role
  • Manage inventory levels to achieve optimal stock turns while maintaining high delivery performance
  • Respond to changes in Engineering/Design requirements including New Product Introduction
  • Monitor and evaluate performance, implementing corrective actions as required
  • Maintain relationships with key customers, supporting sales as needed

You should have an educational background equivalent to 'A' level or higher, or be qualified by experience. Membership of a relevant professional body would be advantageous. Your excellent planning skills will be underpinned by a solid professional ethical foundation. A strong understanding of Material Planning Requirements (MPR) systems is essential, along with excellent computer skills including MS Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint. Your strong analytical skills will enable you to support business decisions and drive performance.
