An established and respected ecological consultancy based in the South West is seeking a Senior Ecologist to join its growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to take on a senior role, working across a range of exciting and diverse projects in one of the UK's most beautiful regions.
Key Responsibilities

Lead protected species surveys, with a particular focus on bat assessments and mitigation

Prepare high-quality reports, licence applications, and management plans

Oversee and coordinate project delivery from start to finish

Mentor and support junior ecologists

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders

Travel primarily within Devon, Cornwall, and Somerset
About You
-
Minimum 5 years' experience in ecological consultancy

Natural England bat survey licence (ideally Level 2)

Strong working knowledge of UK wildlife legislation, planning policy, and licensing

Proven experience managing projects and producing high-level reports

Full UK driving licence

Positive, proactive approach and ability to work independently and as part of a team
