We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Accounts Assistant to join our team in St. Helens. The successful candidate will assist in the day-to-day operations of the accounting and finance department.

Description
- Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial reports
- Managing records and receipts
- Reconciling daily, monthly and yearly transactions
- Supporting the finance department, accountants, and management team
- Preparing balance sheets
- Processing accruals and prepayments
- Completing areas of the sales ledger and credit control
- Input to a cashflow forecast
- Developing an in-depth knowledge of organisational products and processes
- Providing customer service to clients
Profile
A successful Accounts Assistant should have:
- AAT Level 3/4 qualification
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in MS Office and popular accounting software
- Strong understanding of accounting and financial principles
- A keen eye for detail
- An ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
