Accounts Assistant

Search have partnered with a highly regarded business based in St Helens. Our client is seeking a dedicated Accounts Assistant to join their busy finance team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to expand their experience in a supportive and forward-thinking organisation.Key Responsibilities include:As an Accounts Assistant, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the company's financial processes. * Assisting with purchase and sales ledger duties, including invoice processing and reconciliations.* Handling bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.* Processing staff expenses and maintaining accurate records.* Assisting with credit control and chasing outstanding payments.* Providing general administrative support to the finance team.* Payroll inputting to be sent to an outsourced providerSkills required:* Previous experience in an accounts role (e.g., Accounts Assistant, Finance Administrator).* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.* Strong organisational and time management skills.* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.* A willingness to learn and grow within the role (AAT qualification or similar is a bonus but not essential).
