As an Assistant Accountant, you'll be tasked with supporting the finance department, accountant, and management team by completing routine clerical and accounting tasks. You will be preparing budgets, maintaining reports, and completing basic bookkeeping and accounting duties for the company.

Description
- Manage rebate process in excel of £5 million per year.
- Analyse warehouse stock costings
- Analyse labour recovery/process costs for manufacturing site.
- Assist with the completion of end of month duties such as reconciliations and reports.
- Preparing financial documents such as invoices, bills, and accounts payable and receivable.
- Completing financial reports on a regular basis and providing information to the finance team.
- Assisting with budgets and financial planning.
- Balance sheer reconciliation involving high volume of transactions
- Post bank transactions
- Working with the finance team on yearly forecasting efforts.
- Managing the company ledger and assisting with other accounting projects in the office.
Profile
A successful Assistant Accountant should have:
- Previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing business
- AAT Qualified
- A strong understanding of accounting and financial principles and a thorough knowledge of financial legislation.
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other accounting software.
- Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
