Job Title: Assistant AccountantSalary: circa £30,000- £35,000 DOE

Location: St Helens

Our client is a reputable and growing family business based in St Helens, who are looking for a dedicated Assistant Accountant to join their close-knit team. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, your main duties and responsibilities will include:

Responsibilities include:

  • Support with the production of month end accounts
  • Assist with the production of management accounts, supporting the Finance Manager
  • Manage the rebate process
  • Post bank transactions
  • Analyse stock costing and report on costs for manufacturing
  • Balance sheet reconciliation
  • Responsible for supplier claims and debits & credits
  • Any ad hoc duties as required to support the finance team and wider business

The ideal candidate:

  • Previous experience within a similar position
  • Analytical mindset
  • Strong excel skills
  • Friendly personality and strong work ethic
  • High level of accuracy
