Purchase Ledger Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchase Ledger Clerk to join an established company in the St Helens area. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing accounts payable, ensuring accurate data entry, and maintaining financial records. This position is ideal for individuals with experience in accounting software and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing invoices and paying suppliers
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions in the accounting system.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Posting and allocating receipts.
  • Assisting with Month-end
  • Processing company credit card expenditure.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role.
  • Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills to liaise effectively with suppliers
