Job Title Machine Operator
Site location St Helens
Responsible to Production Manager
Purpose of the role -Our client in St Helens is currently recruiting for Machine Operators to join their established team on full time contracts.
Client brief -Our client is a large well renowned family-owned business in Manufacturing products based in St Helens and supply the retail trade and builders merchants across the UK.

Contract Temp to perm
Hourly Rate -£11.44ph
Shifts Monday to Friday days only, 8am-5.30pm
Holidays Holiday accrual whilst temp, 28 days inc bank holidays when perm
Facilities Fantastic facilities on site, very clean and tidy office environment, kitchen/canteen, vending machines, free parking
RESPONSIBILITIES
The role -The responsibilities of these positions are varied but not limited to
- Operating Wood Turning Machinery within health and safety guidelines at all times
- Loading and unloading the machines with raw material and finished product
- Quality Checking/Spot Checking products to ensure they meet site and client quality standards
- Reporting machine and product faults to management
- Ensuring the machinery and production areas are kept safe and clear of debris
KEY SKILLS REQUIRED
- Previous machine operating experience is essential
- Previous experience setting or programming production machinery is highly advantageous
- Ability to follow instructions and read and write in English is essential
