A vacancy has arisen for a Process Development Engineer to work within the Shaping Technology team, part of the Glazing Technology Group the Global R&D Function.
You will be a key member of an R&D technology team who have the responsibility to develop the industrial manufacturing processes, used Worldwide, to produce glazing for the Automotive market.

A global leader in glass manufacturing in three business areas: Architectural, Automotive and Creative Technology.

Description

In the role you will use your data analysis skills and knowledge of digitalisation techniques, to understand correlations and trends within our glass bending manufacturing processes that can lead to improvements in glass quality, and process efficiency. Through a combination of practically led development activities, the application of innovative thinking, and problem-solving skills, this role will contribute to the development of environmentally responsible new processes and products.
You will also develop an understanding of automotive glass specifications applicable to our processes and product performance, to contribute to the team's technical support activities for the business.
Work is managed via the R&D stage-gate project system, often working with R&D members globally, and with other functions, such as Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering. It is expected that you will develop the knowledge and experience to enable you to lead R&D projects in the shaping technology area.

Travel is required every 6 weeks, to Poland for 2 weeks for training purposes.
