Asbestos Surveyor - Housing Association - About The Client:

Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a well-established housing association across Merseyside who are looking to appoint an Asbestos Surveyor on a temporary-to-permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work within an in-house, client-side role, directly for the housing association.

Asbestos Surveyor - Housing Association - About The Role:

  • To be responsible for carrying out asbestos surveys in order to allow maintenance and investment works to be completed including the production of reports
  • To assist on the development of the quality assurance process by validating asbestos information provided by internal surveyors and external consultants ensuring that information held is robust and fit for purpose
  • To assist in the development of the Company’s Asbestos Register
  • To be responsible for and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation including the Control of Asbestos Regulations
  • To provide technical support on the management of asbestos data
  • To build strong relationships based on trust, mutual respect and understanding with internal and external stakeholders.
  • To comply with all relevant policies, procedures, regulations and legislation.
  • To work flexibly, collaboratively and in partnership with other members of the team to meet corporate and divisional KPI’s, operational plan targets, provide VFM and deliver a seamless service for customers.
  • To safeguard the health and safety of yourself and others by taking personal responsibility for H&S and by complying at all times with Group H&S policies and procedures to deliver effective and safe services and operations.
  • To approach all aspects of the role in a manner that promotes fairness and equality to all staff and customers and demonstrates appropriate regard for individual’s personal circumstances.

  • Minimum requirement of P402 Surveying for Asbestos
  • Ability to travel to various locations using own transport with business insurance
  • Minimum 2-years’ experience of asbestos surveying in a residential environment
