Prospero Teaching are looking for an experienced ASC Teaching Assistant to work in a Primary in ST helens supporting students in small groups or on a 1-2-1 basis.

You will be working with small groups as well as on a 1:1 basis at times with various pupils who have ASC. Experience in similar roles would be advantageous. Some students can at times display challenging behaviour, so a calm and resilient manner is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students with SEN, in particular, Autism
  • Building rapport with the children, and acting like a mentor
  • Providing environments so that students can reach their full potential

Role Requirements:

  • DBS (clean and relevant) - Can be otained through Prospero Teaching if needed
  • Safeguarding Certificate
  • Prevent Awareness Certificate
  • Excellent Communication Skills
